Cup Day Skincare Advice

Cup Day Skincare Advice

November 07, 2017

It’s that time of year again. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and we’re stressing about the perfect outfit for race day! Have no fear, Embrayce is here. Here are some tips to help your skin looking flawless all day.

Water Bottle

If you stay hydrated (that means drinking 1 to 2 glasses of water between every alcoholic beverage), your skin and your body will thank you the next day. Even if you aren’t planning on drinking any alcohol it’s still important to drink water – heat exhaustion is a real thing.

Shade

Try and stay in the shade as much as possible to protect your skin the best you can. Even with sunscreen on it’s still better to try and grab some shade. When it comes to being out in the sun however a fascinator (with decent coverage) or sunhat will help. You’ll be happy you did the next day when you’re not as red faced as everyone else.

Sunscreen

Nothing ages your skin faster than a sunburn or sun exposure. It can even cause an increased risk of skin cancer. Ensure your skin is well protected by slipping an SPF sunscreen into your bag. We recommend Environ's Rad SPF15. Make sure to take a sunscreen with you to reapply every 1-2 hours.

Good luck with Cup Day and remember not to stress too much about the day (it ain’t good for your skin).
